Trump Says Vance–Rubio 2028 Ticket Would Be ‘Unstoppable’ — and He’s Probably Right

President Donald J. Trump is already looking ahead — and if his latest remarks aboard Air Force One are any indication, the future of the Republican Party is in very strong hands. During his flight from Malaysia to Japan, Trump was asked about the 2028 election and offered a thought that sent political circles buzzing: a JD Vance–Marco Rubio ticket would be “unstoppable.”

Now, say what you will, but when Trump — the man who reshaped the GOP and redefined American politics — calls a team “unstoppable,” you tend to believe him.

While he didn’t confirm whether he himself would seek a third term (the Twenty-second Amendment currently limits presidents to two), he did remind everyone that his influence is still unmatched:

“I haven’t really thought about it. We have some very good people, as you know, but I have the best poll numbers I’ve ever had,” Trump said.

And he’s not wrong. His approval within the party remains sky-high, and his foreign policy record continues to speak for itself. In fact, during this same trip, Trump had just brokered a peace agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, ending years of tension at their border. That’s right — while the media obsesses over nonsense, Trump is literally stopping wars halfway around the globe.

“When you look at the treaty we just did… it was pretty amazing. We got a lot of good credit,” he said, crediting Malaysia’s Prime Minister for helping make it happen.

As for 2028, Trump mentioned both Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as examples of “very good people” within his circle:

“JD, obviously, the vice president, is great,” Trump said, as Rubio stood behind him smiling. “Marco is great… I’m not sure if anybody would run against those two. I think if they ever formed a group, it would be unstoppable.”

And you know what? He’s right again. The combination of Vance’s America First populism with Rubio’s foreign policy experience would make for a powerhouse ticket — one that unites both the new and traditional wings of the Republican Party.

Trump ended his remarks with that trademark confidence that drives his supporters — and terrifies the Left:

“I would love to do it. I have my best numbers ever.”

At the end of the day, whether it’s Trump himself or a new generation of strong conservative leaders like Vance and Rubio, one thing is crystal clear: the America First movement isn’t going anywhere.

And if 2028 shapes up the way Trump predicts, the Democrats might want to start updating their résumés now — because an unstoppable Republican ticket could be just over the horizon.
