VCU Anti-ICE Nurse Fired After Promoting ‘Sabotage’ Tactics Against Agents

A nurse at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health has been fired after posting a series of social media videos suggesting ways to harm ICE agents. According to VCU Health, “Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health,” and the hospital has fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law. In other words, consequences showed up right on time—funny how that works.

The hospital and VCU Police began investigating after the posts went viral on X. VCU Health stated that it prioritizes the health and safety of everyone who comes for care and called the content of the videos “highly inappropriate” and not reflective of the values of the health system. The university added that, per policy, the individual was placed on administrative leave during the investigation and barred from interacting with patients. Translation: scrubs don’t come with a free pass to promote chaos online.

The nurse used a now-deleted TikTok account, “Redheadredemption,” and was quickly identified as a VCU Health employee. A compilation of three of her videos was posted on X by the account LibsOfTikTok, which triggered widespread outrage.

In one video, captioned “#ice #resistance #sabotage,” she suggested a so-called “sabotage tactic,” telling people to grab syringes filled with saline or succinylcholine. Succinylcholine is an anesthetic that causes short-term muscle paralysis lasting four to six minutes—apparently just another casual tool for her “deterrent” plan. Nothing says “responsible medical professional” like casually recommending paralytics on social media.

In another video, recorded while wearing scrubs and captioned “#resist,” she proposed using poison ivy or poison oak mixed into water and sprayed with a water gun at people’s faces and hands. Because when you work in healthcare, obviously the next logical step is turning a rash into a political strategy.

In a third video labeled “#staytoxic,” she told single women to go on dates with ICE agents and spike their drinks with laxatives to incapacitate them. She described the tactic as “highly, easily deniable” and encouraged targeting where agents eat. So yes, she openly suggested drugging people and interfering with law enforcement, all while presenting it as activism.

VCU Health called the content “highly inappropriate” and confirmed that VCU Police assisted with the investigation. The hospital emphasized that it is committed to safety and integrity, making clear that this kind of behavior has no place in a healthcare system—or anywhere else that still believes in law and order.

The good news? The system worked. The videos were investigated, the employee was removed, and proper reporting procedures were followed. It’s reassuring to see institutions take real action when rhetoric crosses into dangerous territory. Accountability, professionalism, and respect for the rule of law still matter—and that’s a positive sign moving forward.
