The Biden White House just sent shockwaves through Washington — but not in the way the media expected. On Monday, the administration launched a new website detailing nearly 150 illegal immigrants who, according to officials, illegally received Medicaid benefits. And if that weren’t bad enough, the site shows that many of these individuals weren’t just freeloaders — they were violent criminals.
The move is part of the ongoing budget showdown in Congress, which has now dragged the federal government into its fourth week of shutdown. At the center of it all? Democrats demanding the restoration of Medicaid benefits for illegal aliens — a proposal that would funnel $200 billion over the next decade to noncitizens at the expense of hardworking American taxpayers.
Let that sink in: Democrats have brought the federal government to a standstill because they want your tax dollars to bankroll healthcare for people who broke our laws to get here.
In a statement accompanying the site’s launch, the White House laid it out plainly:
“Democrats have refused to pass a clean budget bill to end the shutdown unless Republicans concede to their demands for $1.5 trillion in new spending, including restorations to Medicaid expansions that would effectively extend coverage to over 1 million illegal aliens.”
The website doesn’t just talk — it shows. Below the statement are 140 mugshots of illegals who were caught receiving Medicaid benefits while committing horrific crimes. The gallery includes at least 15 charged with murder, nine arrested for sex crimes against children, and dozens more involved in assault, burglary, and fraud.
It’s a disturbing — and frankly infuriating — reminder of what happens when border enforcement takes a back seat to political pandering.
Meanwhile, in the Senate, the blame game continues. The latest procedural vote on the House’s short-term funding bill fell short 54–45, marking the 13th failed attempt to reopen the government.
Three Democrats — John Fetterman (D-Pa.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), and Angus King (I-Maine) — broke ranks and voted with Republicans to move the bill forward. Even they see the insanity of holding the country hostage over benefits for people who aren’t even supposed to be here.
The bill’s only GOP defector was Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who opposed the measure on fiscal grounds — a sign that even within the Republican Party, there’s still some appetite for tighter spending.
The standoff stems from the GOP’s landmark One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed over the summer, which clawed back $1.5 trillion in reckless Medicaid expansions and other welfare handouts. Democrats are now demanding that those cuts be reversed and that Obamacare subsidies — set to expire on December 31 — be extended indefinitely.
In other words, Democrats want more spending, more handouts, and more chaos — while Americans pay the price.
The White House’s decision to go public with this database is a bold one, and frankly, long overdue. For years, Americans have been told that illegal immigration is a “victimless” issue — that it’s all about compassion. But compassion without accountability is cruelty. It punishes citizens who play by the rules and rewards those who don’t.
