Woke CBC's 9/11 Rewriting Sparks Fury: Kash Patel Warns Canada Against 'Bastardization of History'

In an act of historical revisionism that defies common sense and disrespects solemn memory, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has once again exposed its radical leftist agenda. News broke this week that the publicly-funded broadcaster issued a shocking memo, instructing its reporters to avoid calling the September 11th atrocities what they demonstrably were: terrorist attacks.

Instead, the CBC, Canada's national public broadcaster, prefers the sanitized, almost accidental-sounding phrase: "hijackings [that] led to passenger jet crashes." This Orwellian language attempts to erase the undeniable malice and intent behind the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil, minimizing a day that forever changed our nation and the world.

As the United States prepares to mark the 25th anniversary of that horrific day, and honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, former FBI Director Kash Patel minced no words. Patel, a staunch America First conservative, unleashed a blistering warning to Canadian authorities. He took to social media, declaring that any Canadian agency failing to publicly condemn the CBC's woke nonsense would find no friend in the FBI for future security and investigative cooperation.

Any agency in Canada that doesn’t publicly reject this bastardization of history, and an insult to the souls lost during our largest terrorist attack in US history will no longer have friend in this FBI… Not to mention our heroes that responded in the aftermath ??

WE WILL NEVER FORGET 9-11

Patel's strong stance underscores a fundamental truth: you cannot negotiate with historical reality, nor can you placate those who seek to whitewash the actions of radical terrorists. For a nation that relies heavily on its southern neighbor for security and intelligence, this is not merely a diplomatic squabble; it's a stark warning about shared values and national security.

It's particularly galling when one considers that the CBC is largely bankrolled by Canadian taxpayers, receiving approximately $1.4 billion a year. One can only imagine President Trump's reaction, especially given his ongoing efforts to rebalance trade with Canada through necessary tariffs. Perhaps the 50 percent tariffs he’s already imposed on certain Canadian goods aren't enough for such a profound slap in the face to American history and suffering.

The potential ripple effect on cross-border law enforcement cooperation, which typically runs deep on issues of terrorism, crime, and border security, would be significant. As the U.S. ambassador to Canada rightly pointed out, a failure to confront radical ideologies directly endangers joint security efforts.

Just this year, @FBI has been instrumental in or directly responsible for multiple disruptions of significant terrorist and violent criminal organizations operating within Canada. Failure to recognize and confront radical and terrorist ideologies significantly endangers our efforts to establish and harmonize a shared national and economic security partnership.

Adding to the chorus of condemnation, Conservative Member of Parliament Rachael Thomas expressed her shame over the government-funded outlet's actions. She powerfully highlighted that 24 Canadians also perished at the hands of the 9/11 terrorists, making the CBC's revisionism even more egregious.

"Refusing to call it an act of terrorism dishonours the victims, their families, the survivors, and the first responders who witnessed the horrors of that day," said Thomas. "Trying to sanitize or rewrite that history is deeply offensive and does a disservice to everyone who was affected by the attacks."

The CBC's pathetic attempt to frame its gaslighting as an exercise in "neutrality" is not only disingenuous but profoundly insulting. True neutrality involves reporting facts, not fabricating them or diluting their meaning. This is not journalism; it's ideological activism masquerading as news, betraying the public trust and the memory of those lost.

This episode is a stark reminder of how far woke ideology will go to distort reality, even when it means dishonoring the memory of thousands of innocent lives. America, and indeed the world, must stand firm against such historical revisionism. We will never forget the truth of 9/11, and we will continue to demand accountability from those who seek to undermine it.
