America First Works Goes All-In for Ed Gallrein Against Thomas Massie

America First Works just picked a side in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District — and it’s not Rep. Thomas Massie. The pro-Trump group has officially endorsed Ed Gallrein and is already knocking doors for him, proving once again that talk is cheap but boots on the ground win elections.

The America First Works team says Kentucky voters backed President Donald Trump in big numbers and deserve a representative who actually supports him — shocking idea, right? AFW President Ashley Hayek made it clear the group is mobilizing Trump voters who are fed up with Massie’s constant opposition to Trump’s agenda.

Hayek praised Gallrein as the kind of fighter Kentuckians want: a Navy SEAL and fifth-generation farmer who stands for secure borders, American jobs, and prosperity. Meanwhile, she said Massie has burned through the trust of voters by repeatedly working against Trump’s priorities.

One of the biggest strikes against Massie, according to AFW, was his vote against Trump’s signature tax legislation of his second term, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, or the Working Families Tax Cut Act. The bill aimed to keep more money in the pockets of working families, including up to $1,000 more back at tax time, a $2,200 child tax credit, and zero taxes on tips and overtime. Trump and Republican leaders fought for it — and Massie voted no. Again.

Massie’s list of “no” votes doesn’t stop there. He also opposed the Take It Down Act, championed by First Lady Melania Trump, to protect children from online abuse, and the Lower Premiums for All Americans Act. He’s even teaming up with Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna on a resolution to disapprove of Trump’s strikes in Iran, potentially making himself the lone Republican to condemn what many see as a successful operation.

Trump endorsed Gallrein back in October 2025 — before he even officially entered the race — and has continued to praise him as a “winner,” urging MAGA supporters to rally behind him. Thanks to updated FEC rules, AFW can legally coordinate door-to-door canvassing with Gallrein’s campaign, and the group says the response from voters has been overwhelmingly positive.

The message from Kentucky’s 4th District is getting clearer by the day: voters want a representative who stands with President Trump and delivers results, not one who plays Washington games. With grassroots energy building and doors being knocked every day, Ed Gallrein’s campaign is picking up steam — and the America First movement is stronger for it.
