As France Burns, BBC Recycles CNN's Infamous 'Mostly Peaceful' Lie Amid Widespread Arson and Looting

The globalist media playbook is predictable, and apparently, it crosses borders. Just as America witnessed the outrageous 'fiery but mostly peaceful' narrative pushed by CNN during the radical Black Lives Matter riots, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has now deployed the same shameful spin to whitewash widespread chaos across France.

In a stunning display of journalistic malpractice, BBC Paris correspondent James Waterhouse confidently declared the recent French riots – ostensibly over education and cost of living – as 'mostly peaceful.' This assertion was made even as television screens behind him blared live footage of burning cars, mass looting, and violent attacks on police officers. Because of course, what's a little arson and anarchy among 'mostly peaceful' protests?

Waterhouse attempted to deflect from the widespread destruction, claiming the chaos was merely the work of an 'opportunistic minority who came in and sought to rob and cause carnage.'

However, this desperate attempt to downplay the violence was immediately contradicted by the French government itself. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez stated unequivocally that the violence started 'right from the beginning' of the demonstrations, a stark contrast to typical opportunistic crime that usually waits until protests conclude.

The reality on the ground paints a far grimmer picture than any 'mostly peaceful' narrative could possibly convey. The riots saw at least 2,400 arrests, left over 1,000 police and firefighters injured, resulted in the mass looting of more than 3,000 businesses, and included chilling arson attacks on government buildings – notably, the historic 143-year-old City Hall in Limoges, which was largely destroyed by fire.

The BBC's transparent effort to whitewash the destruction immediately drew scorn and comparisons to CNN’s infamous 2020 report from Kenosha, Wisconsin. In that disgraceful moment, a CNN correspondent stood before a burning building set ablaze by Black Lives Matter rioters, while a chyron audaciously declared: 'Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests After Police Shooting.' The parallels are not merely coincidental; they expose a troubling pattern of institutional media bias.

This brazen disregard for truth did not go unnoticed. Richard Tice, Deputy Leader of Reform UK, didn’t mince words. 'The BBC is broken. Calling the riots in France ‘mostly peaceful’ tells you everything you need to know. Reform will scrap the TV licence fee,' he declared, articulating the frustration of millions who recognize this media deception.

Not to be outdone in the race to misinform, the BBC’s primary private competitor, Sky News, veered into its own predictable territory. Sky correspondent Tom Cheshire bizarrely attempted to link the riots to 'far-right' activists abroad who were merely posting clips of the mayhem online. Apparently, showing what’s actually happening is now considered a 'far-right' tactic to 'amplify division' and 'make immigration the sole focus,' even when Antifa slogans are rampant.

Cheshire's pretzel logic claimed: 'A lot of these protests are taking place in multicultural cities. This is a broad alliance across the left, united especially by economic discontent. That, in turn, is amplified online by far-right activists like Tommy Robinson.' He then concluded, with classic media gaslighting, that these 'far-right' elements 'want to turn this into a European, even a civilizational issue' by using 'shocking scenes to amplify division by making immigration the sole focus.' The irony, of course, is that these riots *are* a civilizational issue, and the left-wing media's attempts to ignore the underlying causes only serve to accelerate the crisis.

While some, including French President Emmanuel Macron, have attempted to create a convenient distinction between 'peaceful protesters' and the rioters, brave voices like French Member of European Parliament Marion Maréchal refuse to play along with such semantic games. Maréchal powerfully declared that she now equates 'peaceful protesters' with 'rioters' – 'because they marched behind [LFI presidential candidate] Jean-Luc Mélenchon, and because he has never condemned this violence and encourages it.'

Maréchal highlighted the glaring hypocrisy of claiming the protests were about education or cost of living, when they prominently featured radical Antifa slogans and 'ACAB' (All Cops Are Bastards) graffiti. She courageously stated that for the radical left, violence is not 'collateral damage' but rather a core 'feature of the struggle.' 'It’s doctrinal, when Jean-Luc Mélenchon himself says that everything must be confrontational, when [LFI mayor of Saint-Denis] Bally Bagayoko says that violence can be legitimate,' Maréchal explained, pulling back the curtain on the left's true intentions.

The relentless effort by establishment media outlets like the BBC and Sky News to downplay, excuse, or outright lie about left-wing violence—whether in France or America—is a direct assault on truth and public trust. It's a tactic designed to obscure the reality of radical agendas and shift blame away from those truly responsible for destabilizing Western societies. Americans, and people across the free world, deserve honest reporting, not a cynical narrative crafted to protect the perpetrators of chaos and maintain a false facade of 'peace' where destruction reigns.
