Michigan 'Moderate' Senator Unveils Insidious Plan to Criminalize Trump Allies and Terrorize Young Conservatives

Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin, often branded as a "moderate" within her party, has ripped off that facade, revealing an alarming and frankly fascist scheme to target young conservatives. Her recent comments at the University of Chicago lay bare a contemptible plot designed to po the legal system and actively deter patriotic Americans from serving in a future Trump administration.

Slotkin's chilling proposal involves prosecuting former Trump officials, not for actual crimes, but in a cynical attempt to scare away anyone considering working for President Trump. This is not just unconstitutional; it's profoundly un-American and demands immediate investigation by the Justice Department and the Senate Ethics Committee for her treacherous statements.

This isn't an isolated incident; it's merely the latest volley in the radical left's relentless "lawfare" campaign President Trump and his supporters. From the discredited Russia collusion hoax led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, through two baseless impeachments, to the ongoing persecution of January 6 protesters, the Mar-a-Lago raid, four politically motivated indictments, and New York Attorney General Letitia James's absurd half-billion-dollar judgment (later overturned), the playbook is clear: if you can't beat them at the ballot box, destroy them in court.

Now, Slotkin, presumably aware that presidential immunity shields President Trump, has set her sights on his staff. She wants to pursue "signature cases" against individuals whose actions on projects are deemed "super egregious." As Slotkin herself declared, "They have no immunity the way the president does."

Consider the audacity: one example of a Slotkin target? Individuals who participated in constructing a new White House ballroom. This is the level of derangement we're dealing with. She envisions prosecuting and potentially jailing people because she disapproves of White House renovations. A busybody lawsuit against the ballroom was rightly dismissed by the Supreme Court. Does Slotkin intend to prosecute the Supreme Court Justices who ruled against that ridiculous claim, along with their young clerks? This exposes the truly authoritarian nature of her "deterrence message."

Sen. Elissa Slotkin walks through the U.S. Capitol during a voting session.

But Slotkin didn't stop there. She explicitly stated her desire to chill conservative young people from ever considering service in a Trump administration. "Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want," Slotkin remarked, outlining the fear she hopes to instill. She left no doubt about her objective, adding, "I want that deterrence message sent." And there it is.

Split trump ballroom

Such politically motivated prosecutions have no place in a free republic. Slotkin's grotesque example—the White House ballroom—underscores the demented nature of her vision. Constructing a ballroom is not a crime. It is a fundamental perversion of justice to criminalize political dissent or administrative actions merely because a senator dislikes the president's agenda.

The Senate Ethics Committee must launch an immediate investigation into Slotkin. Her comments defile the Constitution and the integrity of the Senate itself. Every senator should be put on record regarding their stance on Slotkin's horrific goal. Furthermore, the Justice Department should investigate Slotkin for potential violations of 18 U.S.C. § 241 (conspiracy against rights) and 18 U.S.C. § 242 (violation of rights under color of law). We must determine if her college campus fantasies extend to actionable plots to persecute political opponents and silence those of different persuasions.

Slotkin is, unfortunately, not alone in her radical rhetoric. Last week, Democratic Socialist Angie Nixon, a Bernie Sanders-backed candidate for the U.S. Senate in Florida, openly affirmed her desire to jail her Republican opponent, Ashley Moody. When asked by CNN host Kasie Hunt for clarification, Nixon doubled down: "You know, . . . yeah, basically, yes, because of what she did. Yes, I absolutely would want that to happen. Yes. I’ve been perfectly clear."

The choice before us is clear and stark. The radical left, having been roundly rejected by the American people, is now openly embracing banana republic tactics. They are transparent about their terrifying, Republic-destroying goal of imprisoning political opponents and chilling dissent. These sickening comments are not taken out of context; these individuals truly mean to dismantle the foundational principles of American democracy.

As Benjamin Franklin famously cautioned, "A republic, if you can keep it." Leftists like Slotkin and Nixon are actively working to destroy that Republic, seeking to transform it into a one-party, leftist utopia where political opposition is criminalized. Americans must vote accordingly this election cycle to preserve our freedom and our nation.
