Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Says U.S. Strikes Signal the “Beginning of the End” for the Regime

Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi says the recent U.S. strikes against Iran mark what many Iranians have waited decades to see: the start of the regime’s collapse. According to Pahlavi, this is no minor setback for Tehran — it’s the moment the Islamic Republic finally begins to unravel.

“There’s no question that this is the game changer we’ve been waiting for,” Pahlavi said during Sunday Morning Futures. He pointed to the celebrations among Iranians at home and abroad as proof that the people were desperate for this moment. Apparently, when tyranny weakens, hope gets louder — funny how that works.

Pahlavi said the strikes go far beyond past efforts that only aimed to delay Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This time, he argued, it represents a full blow to the regime’s leadership structure.

“This is like full decapitation of the regime, and ultimately what will expedite its total collapse,” he said. In other words, this wasn’t a gentle tap on the shoulder — it was a message written in very clear terms.

He stressed that Iranians have suffered too long to accept anything short of real change. The weakening of the regime, he believes, finally levels the playing field so ordinary people can return to the streets and reclaim their country from what he called a hated system of rule.

With the possibility of regime change on the table, Pahlavi is now focused on what comes next: a transition from theocratic rule to democracy. He estimated that such a transition should take no more than a couple of years.

“I’ve been working with Iranians from across the spectrum who are united in this purpose,” he said. He described a broad coalition that includes religious minorities and ethnic groups from across the country, all committed to the same national project: rebuilding Iran as a democratic state.

For the first time in decades, the idea of a free Iran no longer sounds like a distant dream. If Pahlavi is right, the fall of the regime isn’t just possible — it’s underway. And for millions of Iranians who’ve waited a lifetime, that’s not just news. That’s history in motion.
