Arizona’s Republican nominee for Governor, currently deep in her own legal battle against Maricopa County, Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs to challenge the 2022 election paused to react to the indictment of her political ally former President Donald Trump.
Lake took to her Twitter account minutes after the news broke via The New York Times.
She wrote,
“This is a dark moment in the history of our Nation. The Radical Left and their weaponized criminal justice system have crossed all legal & ethical lines in an attempt to destroy the 45th & 47th President of the United State of America Donald J. Trump. It only makes him stronger.”

Lake’s PR team ‘Kari Lake War Room’ followed up about ten minutes later,
“America’s transformation into a Banana Republic is nearly complete. The radical left has defiled our legal system, shattered every institutional norm, in an effort to destroy the undisputed leader of the GOP. We stand with @realDonaldTrump against this perversion of Justice.”
