The liberal media has a long and undistinguished record when it comes to covering President Donald Trump. For more than a decade, they have relentlessly pushed narratives that proved untrue or were deliberately twisted out of context, fueling President Trump's well-founded critiques of their journalistic integrity.
Just last week, the Trump administration took decisive action, withdrawing White House access from CNN, Politico, and MS NOW. Predictably, these outlets reacted with outrage, announcing a lawsuit and invoking their First Amendment rights. Other media outlets then piled on, suspending pool coverage of Trump events under the pretense that "the public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government."
The sheer hypocrisy of that statement was on full display when MS NOW spectacularly undermined its own credibility. It’s particularly amusing when it’s Fox News, the very network the liberal media constantly demonizes, that delivers the devastating counter-punch.

Gallagher’s "Common Sense" department wasted no time calling out the absurdity. "The Fox News Common Sense department was not one bit surprised to see MS Now cut away from the president’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly. But Common Sense was surprised that the reason MS NOW cut away was to fact-check the president’s speech at the UN General Assembly,” Gallagher quipped, highlighting the inherent bias.
He continued, pointing out the obvious double standard: "And let’s face it, allowing MS to fact-check the president is like allowing the United Nations to fact-check Israel. In other words, when hatred runs deep, facts run awry.”
Gallagher’s central question was devastatingly simple: Why interrupt the speech at all, only to then get the facts wrong themselves? The irony was thick enough to cut with a knife.
“But the amazing thing about the MS fact-check is the fact that MS had to fact-check itself. The same network who said the president’s speech was, quote, “riddled with false claims,” had to come back on the air and correct a false claim. Oops.”
“Common Sense thinks if you’re gonna interrupt the president’s speech just to criticize the president’s speech, why not just take a page out of CNN’s playbook and ignore the president’s speech altogether?”
Of course, CNN completely ignoring the speech is equally damning, revealing their disinterest in providing unfiltered information to the American public.
Gallagher underscored MS NOW's embarrassing "oops" moment during a discussion with LA Mom Magazine founder Shirin Yadegar and OnLACA streaming channel's Jeff Vaughn.
“I mean, the whole thing is you want to criticize the president, and then you screw up the criticism. It’s a bad look when you get the facts, and you have to fact-check yourself!” Gallagher exclaimed, perfectly encapsulating the self-inflicted wound.
Yadegar concurred, asserting that true objectivity would require MS NOW to apply such a critical standard uniformly across all figures, not just those they dislike. She rightly labeled their approach as "activism," not journalism. "These gotcha moments that they’re trying to do — if you’re gonna do it, at least make sure you get your facts right,” she added.
Vaughn succinctly summarized the liberal media's agenda: "It seems like they wanna interrupt and get the last word, and that really is the control here.”
“And so they interrupt; they wanna do everything they can to make sure they get their word in edgewise before the president does. In that case, I just thought, Trace, it looks silly and childish," Vaughn asserted, capturing the juvenile nature of the broadcast.
The greater issue at play here is the undeniable bias. Why interrupt a presidential speech mid-delivery to "fact-check" it? Why not allow the American people to hear the President's words directly and form their own opinions, with post-speech analysis and fact-checking to follow? The answer is clear: MS NOW and much of the liberal media seek to impose their own filtered interpretation on events, rather than trust citizens with raw, unadulterated information.
This incident is yet another stark reminder of the fundamental problem plaguing MS NOW and far too much of the liberal media: a pervasive, agenda-driven bias that prioritizes narrative control over factual reporting. Americans deserve unfiltered truth, not predetermined political spin from self-appointed arbiters of information who can't even get their own 'facts' straight.
