Political Rhetoric Driving Violence Against Republicans, Rep. Nancy Mace Warns

Rep. Nancy Mace says the nonstop demonization of Republicans is no longer just noise — it’s turning into real-world danger. Speaking on Newsmax Monday, the South Carolina lawmaker warned that increasingly hostile political rhetoric is fueling violence and threats against conservatives across the country. Apparently, calling people “Nazis” and “fascists” every day has consequences. Who knew?

Mace pointed to multiple assassination attempts against Donald Trump, including what she described as a newly uncovered plot at Mar-a-Lago. The latest incident follows two previous attempts in 2024, with this one occurring right at the president’s doorstep. According to Mace, this isn’t random chaos — it’s the product of years of political dehumanization.

“These threats are real, and they are escalating,” she said, describing what she called a disturbing national trend.

Mace also referenced the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, calling it another tragic example of where this climate leads. She argued that portraying Republicans as enemies of the country makes it easier for unstable individuals to justify violence.

“It’s a very scary time,” Mace said, adding that Republicans have been labeled fascists and Nazis for so long that some people now feel morally justified acting on that hatred. She stressed that Trump has already survived multiple assassination attempts — something she said is unprecedented in her lifetime.

“I can’t remember a president that has had this many assassination attempts… other than Donald Trump,” Mace stated, underscoring just how serious the situation has become.

The congresswoman also revealed that she herself has been the target of repeated death threats, noting that several individuals are currently in jail for threatening her and her family. That’s not political disagreement — that’s criminal behavior dressed up as activism.

Mace concluded that unless the left takes responsibility for its language and stops treating Republicans like villains in a movie, the violence will only get worse. Her message was blunt: rhetoric matters, and words can become weapons.

The warning is clear — political debate doesn’t have to mean political bloodshed. And if cooler heads prevail, maybe America can get back to arguing with ballots instead of bullets.
