A new poll is delivering bad news for establishment media outlets that have spent months insisting the MAGA movement is fractured ahead of the 2026 midterms.
According to a McLaughlin & Associates survey conducted on behalf of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Action, major portions of President Donald Trump’s agenda continue receiving broad support from voters across multiple key issues — from election security and government fraud to immigration and national security.
The survey, first reviewed by Breitbart News, suggests Trump remains politically aligned with many voters despite nonstop media narratives claiming Americans are supposedly exhausted by the America First agenda.
Apparently Americans didn’t get the memo from cable news panels explaining what they’re supposed to believe.
One of the more surprising findings involved support for security upgrades to the White House complex, including Trump’s proposed secure ballroom and underground additions.
Despite widespread mockery from media figures and Democrats, 59 percent of respondents agreed Congress has an obligation to fund the project.
Tea Party Patriots Action chair Jenny Beth Martin argued the results show Trump is politically “on strong ground” regarding White House security — especially following the recent shooting incident near the White House over Memorial Day weekend.
The poll also revealed strong support for election integrity measures long championed by Trump and his allies.
A majority of respondents — 56 percent — supported passage of the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship for voter registration and photo identification for voting.
Even more striking, 82 percent agreed that only U.S. citizens should be allowed to vote in elections for president and Congress.
Honestly, the fact that “only citizens should vote in American elections” is treated as controversial in modern politics probably explains a lot about why the country feels permanently exhausted.
Immigration and assimilation issues also received strong backing from respondents.
Nearly three-quarters agreed that legal immigrants who choose to make America their home should learn English, embrace American traditions and values, and integrate into American society.
Meanwhile, 58 percent supported limiting birthright citizenship to children born to U.S. citizens or individuals legally residing in the country permanently.
The poll additionally highlighted overwhelming support for anti-fraud and government accountability efforts — another growing centerpiece of Trump’s second-term agenda.
According to the survey:
- 81 percent said stopping waste, fraud, and corruption should be a top priority.
- 83 percent supported permanent systems designed to detect fraud before taxpayer money is distributed.
- 70 percent agreed cutting government fraud is one of the most direct ways to lower prices and reduce economic pressure.
Martin argued those results validate Trump’s political instincts, particularly after his recent decision to place Vice President JD Vance in charge of an anti-fraud task force.
National security issues also ranked highly among voters, with 71 percent agreeing Iran should not be allowed to block or threaten ships in the Strait of Hormuz — a critical global shipping route that has become central to escalating Middle East tensions.
The poll ultimately paints a picture very different from the one frequently presented by establishment media outlets.
Rather than widespread collapse inside the MAGA coalition, the data suggests many of Trump’s core positions remain broadly popular, especially on economic concerns, government accountability, border security, election integrity, and foreign policy strength.
And perhaps most importantly for Republicans heading into the midterms, voters ranked economic issues — including inflation, jobs, taxes, interest rates, and the cost of living — as their top priorities overall.
That matters because Trump and Republicans continue betting that economic frustration will outweigh media narratives, partisan attacks, and institutional opposition once voters head back to the ballot box.
For now, at least according to this survey, the America First agenda appears far from politically isolated.
In fact, it may be far more mainstream than Trump’s critics would like to admit.
