The Federal Bureau of Investigation isn’t a stranger to targeting individuals and groups representing any form of conservatism or traditionalism. However, in their latest quest to muzzle certain groups of the American populous, the FBI cited the Southern Poverty Law Center in a document that classified certain conservative Catholic groups as “radical.”
The report read the following:
“In making this assessment, FBI Richmond relied on the key assumption that [racially or ethnically motivated extremists] will continue to find [radical-traditionalist Catholic or RTC] ideology attractive and will continue to attempt to connect with RTC adherents, both virtually via social media and in-person at places of worship.”
The document mentioned an array of Catholic groups including “Catholic Apologetics International,” “Catholic Family News/Catholic Family Ministeries, Inc,” and “Tradition in Action.” These groups were all categorized as hate groups in the document which cited the SPLC.
Oddly, an FBI agent who was on the job for six years after being suspended without pay in 2022, said that during his service “We got briefings that SPLC was not legitimate,” according to quotes obtained by The Daily Signal.
While the nature of the document, intended to be kept confidential, is disturbing, the story continues to grow increasingly ominous since an individual who’d read up on some of the similar reports released by the SPLC subsequently attempted to commit an act of terrorism against conservatives after doing so.
The Daily Signal cited a man, who in 2012, targeted the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington D.C. because the SLPC included the organization on their “hate map.” The man proceeded to enter the headquarters with a semiautomatic pistol, shooting, and wounding a guard on duty in the lobby.
The man was later apprehended and sentenced to a 25-year sentence. However, SPLC tried to play damage control by denouncing the attack; however, they have continued to keep the FRC on their “hate map.”
The new 118th Congress is coming in hot with a vengeance to undo the significant wrongdoing done by the federal government in terms of the weaponization against Americans with conservative ideology. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) said the following in August of 2022:
“Joe Biden’s FBI and Department of Justice have been fully weaponized against their political opponents. It is an absolute outrageous abuse of power and unamerican for these agencies to raid the home of President Trump and seize the cell phone of a sitting Member of Congress. Attorney General Garland, Director Wray, House Democrats, and most of all Joe Biden will absolutely be held accountable.”
