Mark Lamb, a Pinal County Sheriff with the staunch backing of President Donald Trump, secured a decisive victory in the GOP primary on Tuesday evening. Lamb is now poised to fill the seat of outgoing Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., in the Grand Canyon State’s reliably conservative fifth congressional district.
This primary win puts Sheriff Lamb on a clear trajectory to claim the congressional seat in November, a district that has historically delivered overwhelming Republican majorities. This outcome further solidifies the America First movement's influence across the nation.
Lamb has powerfully framed his campaign as a vital mission to safeguard the foundational fabric of the country, championing the unyielding principles of "God, family freedom."
"That’s why I’m running for Congress. We gotta make sure our grandchildren and our great-grandchildren have the same freedoms that we have," Lamb declared in a campaign video, echoing the concerns of millions of Americans.
The congressional seat became open when Rep. Biggs, a conservative firebrand and one of President Trump's most prominent allies, announced his bid for governor last year. Biggs consistently pushed for aggressive conservative stances, particularly on issues like federal spending and crucial border enforcement.
Sheriff Lamb has unequivocally echoed many of Biggs's core priorities, making it clear he intends to carry the torch of common-sense conservatism to Washington. His focus on border security stands in stark contrast to the current administration's disastrous policies.
"The Joe Biden administration came in, and immediately, overnight, we started seeing hundreds of thousands of people — the majority of these men were military-age men from all over the world. Many of them didn’t love America," Lamb stated in a campaign video. "We stood by as our government not only allowed them to come in but rolled out the red carpet for people that broke our law."
Earlier this year, Lamb's campaign faced a barrage of politically motivated attacks when an Arizona investigation brought forth accusations regarding personal conduct. However, his wife, Janel Lamb, swiftly and firmly denounced these claims as nothing more than a desperate political stunt.
"Politics can be dark and ugly, but if you know us, you know that’s not how we roll. The only way to dispel darkness is not with more darkness, only light. After all we’ve been through, a massive smear campaign is certainly not going to stop us from doing what we know is right," Janel Lamb posted on Facebook, showcasing the resilience and faith characteristic of the America First movement.
Having decisively cleared the primary hurdle, Sheriff Lamb now marches toward the general election on November 3. His expected victory will send a clear message that Arizona, and indeed America, is ready for strong, principled leadership rooted in the values of God, family, and freedom, standing firm against the radical left agenda.
