Trump to Iran: One Bridge or Power Plant Destroyed for Every ship Attacked

President Donald Trump delivered a direct and forceful warning to the Iranian regime Wednesday, declaring that the United States will destroy one bridge or power plant — including those in or near Tehran — for every ship Iran attacks in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a Truth Social post, Trump stated: “From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran.”

The warning comes as the U.S. military completed its 11th night of strikes on Iranian targets, hitting aircraft hangars and drone storage facilities. Trump has repeatedly emphasized the need to keep the strategic waterway open for international commerce, through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas passes.

The escalation follows Iranian attacks on shipping and comes amid stalled diplomatic efforts. Trump made clear Tuesday that the U.S. has “no interest in meeting” with Tehran at this time. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reinforced the administration’s position, warning that allowing Iran to control or terrorize an international waterway sets a dangerous global precedent.

The renewed tensions have pushed oil prices higher, with Brent crude climbing toward $94 a barrel amid fears of prolonged disruptions.

President Trump is drawing a firm line: attacks on commercial shipping will carry severe and proportional consequences. The regime in Tehran is now on notice that continued aggression will bring direct costs to its own infrastructure.
