Trump Slams D.C. Mayor Bowser, Promises National Emergency If ICE Blocked

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump isn’t playing games when it comes to law and order in the nation’s capital. On Monday morning, Trump made it crystal clear: if Mayor Muriel Bowser thinks she can block cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), she’s in for a rude awakening. Trump said he’s ready to declare a national emergency and federalize Washington, D.C. if necessary.

On Truth Social, Trump laid it out bluntly: “The Federal Government, under my auspices as President of the United States of America, has stepped into the complete criminal mess that was Washington, D.C., our Nation’s Capital. Because of this, D.C. has gone from one of the most dangerous and murder ridden cities… to one of the safest – In just a few weeks.”

Translation: Trump cleaned up the swamp’s backyard in record time. Restaurants, shops, businesses—booming again. Crime? Virtually gone. But now Bowser, bowing to pressure from the radical Left, says her police won’t cooperate with ICE in removing dangerous illegal aliens. That’s like fixing a leaking roof and then handing out hammers to tear it down again.

Trump didn’t mince words: “If I allowed this to happen, CRIME would come roaring back. To the people and businesses of Washington, D.C., DON’T WORRY, I AM WITH YOU, AND WON’T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. I’ll call a National Emergency, and Federalize, if necessary!!!”

The timing is no accident. Thousands of protesters recently flooded D.C. streets after Trump deployed the National Guard in August to restore order. Funny how the same people complaining about “federal overreach” don’t mind when chaos and crime run rampant in Democrat-led cities.

Here’s the reality: the D.C. National Guard doesn’t answer to a governor—it answers directly to the President. And right now, that means President Trump. So Bowser can posture all she wants, but the fact is, Trump holds the authority to keep the capital safe.

At the end of the day, Americans don’t want excuses, they want results. Trump has already shown he can turn D.C. from a crime-ridden disaster into a city where families and businesses feel safe again. And if the radical Left tries to undo that progress, Trump’s message couldn’t be clearer: law and order will prevail.

Make no mistake—this is what leadership looks like. And yes, it’s how we Make America Great Again.
