Former President Donald Trump blasted Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley in a Saturday speech in New Hampshire over her top campaign staffer’s ties to a left-wing dark money group, citing an exclusive Washington Examiner report.
“It was just reported that Nikki Haley’s state director in New Hampshire, this is a very bad one, listen carefully, Tyler Clark, did anyone ever hear of him?” Trump asked the crowd.
“He was a lobbyist for the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which is managed by Arabella Advisors, which is the largest Democrat dark money network in the country and considered public enemy No. 1,” the former president added. “That’s who’s managing her campaign. Does that tell you something, perhaps?”
Trump was referring to the Washington Examiner‘s Saturday morning story on how Clark, who is leading Haley’s operation in the Granite State ahead of Tuesday’s primary, lobbied in 2020 for Sixteen Thirty Fund, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that spent $410 million to support Democrats and help unseat Trump that year. Clark also has lobbied for the American Federation of Teachers and American Civil Liberties Union — revelations that resulted in conservatives taking to social media in fury on Saturday.
“Haley’s campaign is not only funded by Democrats — it’s run by Democrats, too!” the war room X account for the presidential campaign of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said Saturday. “Nikki Haley’s New Hampshire director lobbied for dark money giant that helped Biden win 2020 election.”
“Last minute BOMBSHELL from @gekaminsky : Nikki Haley’s New Hampshire campaign director was a lobbyist for the Arabella Advisors network, the Teamsters, the ACLU, and Randi Weingarten’s teachers union,” Parker Thayer, an investigative researcher for the conservative Capital Research Center think tank, said on X on Saturday. “How on earth did he get hired??”
