Trump Unleashes $10 Billion Defense Industry Boom in Pennsylvania, Solidifying America First Strength

CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA – President Donald Trump delivered a monumental blow against the globalist agenda Wednesday afternoon, announcing nearly $10 billion in new investments into the defense industrial base of Pennsylvania. This strategic move, generating more than 4,000 high-quality American jobs, underscores a clear commitment to national security and the America First economic revival.

The declaration came during Senator Dave McCormick’s (R-PA) Defense and Innovation Summit at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, where President Trump joined Senator McCormick, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and an assembly of leading defense, banking, and technology executives for a pivotal roundtable discussion.

“This afternoon, we’re announcing nearly $10 billion of new investments in our defense industrial base, right here in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and these investments will create more than 4,000 jobs,” President Trump declared, his words echoing the promise of a resurgent American economy and military.

He continued, painting a vivid picture of American exceptionalism: “Pennsylvania workers will build the ships, submarines, trucks, weapons, and industries that will ensure America remains the strongest and most powerful nation in the history of the world. We’re doing better now than we’ve ever done.”

Among the critical investments highlighted were a formidable $2.5 billion agreement between General Dynamics and Rhoades Industries, poised to bolster Navy submarine construction in Philadelphia, an initiative expected to support over 2,000 jobs. Additionally, new ship orders for the National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) program, valued at $1.5 billion, will further invigorate the shipbuilding sector.

Day & Zimmermann secured a significant $2.3 billion contract for the operations, maintenance, and modernization of the Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada, with delivery and support originating directly from its Philadelphia operations, showcasing Pennsylvania’s pivotal role in national defense infrastructure.

President Trump proudly noted the dramatic surge in defense spending in Pennsylvania, observing a 20-25 percent increase since his return to the presidency, with Wednesday’s announcement pushing the total to an estimated $19-$20 billion. This local success is part of a larger national triumph, as his administration has overseen an astounding $19.2 trillion in investments across the United States since January 2025.

“We used to go million, then we went billion. Now we’re into the trillions. But there’s never been anything like it. The country is as hot as it’s ever been,” Trump stated, a testament to the unprecedented economic dynamism under his leadership.

The President lauded Senator McCormick for his “outstanding work on behalf of the incredible people of Pennsylvania,” praising his courage and leadership in organizing such a vital summit. McCormick, a key figure in reclaiming the U.S. Senate majority for Republicans in 2024, previously hosted Trump at an Energy and Innovation Summit where a staggering $92 billion in investment was announced for the Keystone State.

“I think he’s a great guy, great, spectacular guy… But we’re here today to celebrate a colossal victory for this Commonwealth and for the entire nation,” Trump affirmed, highlighting the collaborative effort to deliver tangible results for Americans.

Senator McCormick, in turn, expressed profound gratitude for the President’s presence and his deep connection to Pennsylvania. “We are so honored to have you here. I know you’ve got a special love for Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania has a special love for you. And this is all about your vision of peace through strength,” McCormick told the President, underscoring the vital link between Trump’s vision and the nation’s security.

This surge of investment is more than just numbers on a ledger; it’s a powerful reaffirmation of President Trump’s America First doctrine, ensuring that the nation’s defense is built with American hands, by American workers, right here on American soil. It's a clear signal that under conservative leadership, economic prosperity and national security are not mutually exclusive but are, in fact, two sides of the same powerful coin, strengthening our republic from within.
