WASHINGTON — Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a collection of documents and communications on her final day in office, alleging that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress and directed U.S. taxpayer funding for gain-of-function coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.The materials, according to Gabbard, show Fauci’s involvement in influencing intelligence community assessments on COVID-19 origins while pushing a natural origin narrative. She also linked the research to Big Pharma’s pursuit of “universal vaccines.”

In her statement, Gabbard said: “Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never before seen communications and documents that expose exactly how Fauci worked with politicized career leadership in the intelligence community to suppress the truth about his actions, the virus’s lab leak origins, and his role in directing U.S. funding for this dangerous research that caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives.”

Gabbard further alleged that the documents contradict Fauci’s 2024 sworn testimony to Congress, in which he denied knowledge of or participation in discussions with intelligence officials about viral research.

The release includes testimony from intelligence community whistleblowers who claimed they faced retaliation for challenging the official handling of the virus origins debate.

Gabbard added that Fauci used his relationships within the intelligence community to shield himself from scrutiny while funding research tied to pharmaceutical interests.

The documents are available on the Office of the Director of National Intelligence website. The Trump administration has continued to push for greater transparency regarding the pandemic’s origins and related government actions.
