U.S. Sends Dozen of Refueling Planes to Israel Ahead of Potential Major Escalation Against Iran

The United States is deploying dozens of aerial refueling planes to Israel in preparation for a possible major expansion of the war with Iran, according to reports Friday.

The Trump administration informed Israel of the deployment following a high-level meeting in which President Trump was presented with plans for large-scale U.S. military operations inside Iran. Those plans reportedly include American strikes on critical Iranian infrastructure such as power plants, along with intensified attacks on hardened nuclear facilities, including the heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain site.

While Trump has not yet made a final decision on approving the broader operation, U.S. forces carried out fresh strikes on Friday that destroyed several pieces of Iranian infrastructure, particularly a number of bridges in southern Iran.

The movement of refueling tankers significantly increases U.S. operational reach and endurance for potential long-range strikes, signaling strong American support for Israel and readiness to escalate pressure on the Iranian regime.

This development comes amid the ongoing intense campaign in the Strait of Hormuz, where the U.S. has conducted repeated strikes and imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports. The additional support for Israel suggests the administration is preparing for a wider confrontation that could involve simultaneous operations across multiple fronts.

The situation remains fluid as President Trump weighs the next phase of military action against Tehran.
