It’s a wide-ranging legal attack machine, inserting itself into everything from federal funding and elections to healthcare, environmental protections, and economic policies. At its core, this unit is poised to act as a legal shield for both illegal aliens and the unaccountable, entrenched federal bureaucracy that Washington, D.C., and its northern Virginia suburbs are so famous for.

This court has consistently interfered with the Trump administration’s executive actions, blocking initiatives like the Anti-Weaponization Fund, halting federal efforts to collect crucial data on commercial drivers – many of whom are foreign migrants posing safety risks – and even challenging the President's constitutional right to appoint his own U.S. attorneys.
Only last week, Jones crowed about successfully stopping the Trump administration’s push to gather information on CDL holders, an effort aimed at tracking down illegal aliens and migrants who pose a grave threat on American roads. The tragic reality of “foreigner-fueled road deaths” is a pressing concern, with a recent massacre of five innocent lives occurring right in Virginia. Yet, Jones chooses to protect the very individuals whose recklessness often leads to such devastation.
But Jones’s obstruction doesn't stop at the federal level. He is actively targeting local sheriffs who dare to cooperate with ICE to arrest and deport illegal aliens. Earlier this month, he launched an investigation into the Greene County, Virginia, sheriff’s office after it partnered with ICE on an operation that led to numerous arrests.
Greene County, a staunchly Republican area, saw Sheriff Steven Smith defiantly assert his role as a “constitutional officer,” with duties distinct from the Attorney General’s partisan agenda. “I was elected by the citizens to keep the county safe, and that’s what I’m doing,” Sheriff Smith stated, upholding his oath. “I’m arresting people that have warrants. They can’t stop me from doing that.” That part should not be complicated.

These outlets absurdly claim that a “majority of Virginia ICE detainees aren’t criminals, let alone violent ones,” attempting to shift the goalposts and redefine what constitutes a threat to public safety.
WRIC bemoaned that over 15,000 illegal aliens have been arrested in Virginia since President Trump took office – more than four times the number in the two years prior to his inauguration. The outlet then spun the narrative, suggesting that mere illegal presence isn't enough for deportation; apparently, one must commit a separate violent crime to warrant removal. “The vast majority of people being detained by ICE throughout the nation have no criminal convictions — and what convictions they do have are largely nonviolent,” the article preposterously claimed.
However, a closer look at the data reveals the utter absurdity of this claim. The largest offense category for ICE arrests is driving under the influence of liquor, totaling 1,069 arrests – an offense notorious for causing the deaths of innocent Americans. The second-highest category is assault, with 402 arrests, which is, by any common-sense definition, inherently violent. It seems that for Attorney General Jones and his media allies, endangering American lives with a DUI or committing assault simply isn't “criminal” enough to justify deportation. This relentless pursuit of open-border policies and the protection of those who flout our laws directly undermines the safety and sovereignty of the American people.
