Washington, D.C. to Host Public Prayer Vigil Honoring Charlie Kirk, ‘A National Treasure’

On Sunday, September 14, patriots from across the country will gather in Washington, D.C., for a solemn yet powerful moment: a public prayer vigil to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Organizers have called him exactly what he was — “a national treasure” — a man whose life was cut far too short but whose mission will endure.

The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m., and will feature remarks and prayers from national leaders, administration officials, and members of Congress. Among those expected to speak: Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Senior Advisor Kari Lake, Congressman Andy Biggs, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, Congressman Eli Crane, and Arizona State Senator Jake Hoffman, among others. In other words, the event will bring together leaders who understand what Charlie fought for — faith, family, freedom, and the future of America.

Organizers describe the vigil as a “unifying event” centered on prayer, mourning, and celebrating Charlie’s life. And that’s exactly what the country needs right now: unity, not division. While the left is busy playing politics with flags and rhetoric, conservatives are coming together in faith and remembrance.

Security is understandably tight. Pre-registration is required, seating is first-come, first-served, and each mobile number can secure just one ticket. Children are welcome without separate registration. No bags will be allowed. Organizers advise against driving, since parking is limited to $25 spots, and recommend attendees use the Metro — Foggy Bottom–GWU is the closest stop — or rideshare options.

The exact location will remain under wraps until Sunday afternoon, when registered attendees will be notified. That’s the reality of honoring a conservative hero in today’s climate: even prayer vigils require this level of precaution. But make no mistake — people will show up. Because patriots don’t back down, and they don’t forget.

Charlie Kirk lived and died fighting for America. And now, in the heart of our nation’s capital, Americans will gather not only to mourn him but to recommit themselves to the cause he championed. Because when you honor a national treasure, you don’t just look back — you look forward. And Charlie’s fight is far from over.
