The White House is launching a new 24-hour livestream Monday night, introducing Trump TV: The Essentials Station as a dedicated platform for showcasing the administration’s activities and accomplishments.
The stream will be available through the White House’s YouTube channel and official app, giving viewers continuous access to administration-focused programming.
Kaelan Dorr, the White House’s head of digital strategy, said the broadcast will feature the administration’s “greatest hits, unfiltered.”
Dorr also criticized coverage from the mainstream press, arguing that some accomplishments by the administration have been inaccurately reported or received little attention.
The launch represents another effort by the White House to communicate directly with the public through its own digital platforms, rather than relying exclusively on traditional news organizations to frame its activities.
With a continuous livestream, the administration is creating a centralized outlet for its messaging, statements and highlights—giving supporters and other viewers a direct way to follow the White House’s presentation of the Trump administration.
