Biographer urged Epstein to bash Trump for “political cover” in newly released emails

Just hours after the White House exposed Democrats for selectively leaking Jeffrey Epstein emails, House Republicans dropped tens of thousands of additional documents — and let’s just say, they paint a very different picture than the one Democrats hoped for. Among the new material: emails between Epstein and author Michael Wolff, the same guy who built a career on attacking President Trump and calling it “journalism.”

According to the newly released emails, Wolff repeatedly contacted Epstein, sometimes offering unsolicited PR advice. In February 2016, Wolff wrote, “NYT called me about you and Trump. Also, Hillary campaign digging deeply. Again, you should consider preempting.” In other words, he basically encouraged a sex trafficker to attack Trump as a way to clean up his own public image. Nothing says integrity like using a convicted predator as a political tool.

Michael Wolff speaks at the former Newseum in Washington, D.C., April 12, 2017, as he moderates a conversation with Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, during "The President and the Press: The First Amendment in the First 100 Days" forum. (The Associated Press )

A month later, they discussed strategy ahead of James Patterson’s book “Filthy Rich,” which detailed Epstein’s crimes. Wolff suggested that “becoming an anti-Trump voice gives you a certain political cover which you decidedly don’t have now.” So, the genius plan was: sex trafficking bad, but hey — attack Trump and suddenly you’re respectable again. Classic D.C. logic.

Wolff even attempted to coach Epstein on how to respond to questions about Trump. When Epstein asked what he should say about their relationship, Wolff advised him to “let him hang himself.” Another email added that if Trump denied visiting Epstein’s properties, Epstein could “hang him” politically — unless Trump looked like he might win, in which case Epstein could “save him” to earn a favor. Amazing how these people talk when they think no one is watching.

Wolff also tried to use Epstein as a networking service, asking him for introductions to Tom Barrack, a prominent Trump ally, and Kathy Ruemmler, a former federal prosecutor, while researching his book on Trump’s first 100 days. And he even pressed Epstein about whether Bill Clinton would confirm he never visited Epstein’s private island. Clinton and Ghislaine Maxwell have both denied seeing him there, and the article states Clinton has publicly denied ever going.

Ghislaine Maxwell holds her umbrella high enough over her head to expose her face. Maxwell left for her prison job before sunrise and was still walking with an umbrella covering her face. During her lunch break, she walked back to her cell carrying some folders and a clear backpack with headphones dangling down Sept. 20, 2025. (Matthew Symons/Mirrorpix/Mega)

Epstein and Wolff were still arranging to meet as late as May 2019 — just months before Epstein died in federal custody.

Among the newly released documents were random items like a short dog video and chew toys shaped like Trump and Hillary Clinton, plus slides from an advisor attempting to pump up Epstein’s online reputation after his child trafficking conviction. Because nothing repairs public image quite like dog toys and SEO.

Democrats’ earlier selective release included a cryptic 2011 email from Epstein to Maxwell, in which he mentioned Trump by name and referenced a “victim.” That victim, now confirmed to be Virginia Giuffre, never accused Trump of any wrongdoing. In fact, she had worked at Mar-a-Lago before Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her, and she always said Trump “couldn’t have been friendlier” and was not involved.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reminded reporters of that fact, adding that President Trump kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago decades ago for being inappropriate toward female employees — including Giuffre. Something Democrats never seem eager to mention.

President Trump addressed the situation on Truth Social, pointing out that Democrats are clearly trying to distract from their own problems, including the shutdown standoff they created.

As more documents come out, one thing becomes crystal clear: when the truth sees daylight, Democrats lose control of the narrative — and transparency always leads to good things.
