Border Czar Tom Homan didn’t hold back Tuesday, slamming the Supreme Court’s decision upholding birthright citizenship and vowing that the Trump administration will respond with even tougher enforcement.
Speaking on Fox's The Will Cain Show, Homan called the ruling a clear signal to ramp up operations. He labeled birth tourism a serious national security issue, pointing out how nationals from adversarial countries like China and Russia deliberately come to the U.S. to have children who gain automatic citizenship before returning home.
Homan urged Congress to act immediately with legislation targeting birth tourism, while pledging the administration will “triple, quadruple down” on investigations. He emphasized that birthright citizenship has long served as a major pull factor for illegal migration.
During the Biden years, Homan noted, hospitals in places like Yuma and El Paso saw maternity wards filled almost entirely by illegal aliens — “That’s not a coincidence. That’s not by accident.”
Homan also defended aggressive immigration enforcement, responding powerfully to the testimony of Jessica Gorman, mother of Sheridan Gorman. “I’ve met hundreds of angel moms and dads, and I remember every one of those stories — tragic stories,” he said. “Our children should be alive today. My worst nightmare is to bury a child, bury my children.”
This ruling may tie one hand behind the administration’s back on automatic citizenship, but it won’t stop the Trump team from securing the border, ending the exploitation of American generosity, and protecting U.S. sovereignty. Birth tourism, chain migration incentives, and the tragic costs of lax enforcement demand relentless action — and Homan and President Trump will keep fighting to deliver exactly that.
