Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has ignited a firestorm, revealing private texts from former COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci that expose deep concerns over the potential link between first-trimester COVID vaccinations and miscarriages. This bombshell revelation sharply contrasts with the unwavering public push for pregnant women to receive the experimental gene therapy.
In an exclusive interview, Johnson, who is spearheading the investigation into Fauci's government phone, did not mince words, calling the findings "just the tip of the iceberg." He alleged that this initial batch of texts from Fauci's old iPhone clearly demonstrates a disturbing disconnect between Fauci’s private apprehensions and his public pronouncements.
"We tell pregnant women don't even have a glass of wine and yet we coerce them, convince them, sometimes mandated them, to get an experimental gene therapy as early as the first trimester," Johnson declared. "This is truly sick."
The Wisconsin senator emphasized the media's long-standing silence on such critical issues. "And the way this has been—I've known about this for years," Johnson continued. "But finally, because we have a text associated with St. Fauci, it's finally getting the play in the media that it’s been deserving for years."

Johnson and Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., secured Fauci’s phone from his tenure as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This acquisition came as Paul prepared to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress for repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment—a move he successfully executed before handing the matter to the Department of Justice.
As chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Johnson released the first tranche of these private messages this week.
One particularly damning conversation from January 2021 involved Fauci, then-Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and Dr. Vivek Murthy, who later became Surgeon General under the Biden administration. During this exchange, Fauci explicitly admitted his concerns about the impact of mRNA vaccines on pregnant women.
"I asked around a bit more and another issue came up that you need to be aware of," Fauci wrote. "Since many people have significant cytokines storm and fever after the 2nd dose, this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester."
Johnson highlighted the stark contrast: "I've never heard a federal health official admit that about the injections." He further noted that cytokine storms were already linked to adverse pulmonary effects from vaccination.
"What you have to connect this to is what they were saying publicly, that was contrary to that, but also what they're publishing," Johnson asserted. He pointed to a 2021 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine by Dr. Tom Shimabukoro, which emerged after Fauci’s initial concern. This study reported 104 "spontaneous abortions" (miscarriages) among 827 pregnancies exposed to mRNA vaccines.
However, Johnson charged that the study's numbers were deliberately manipulated to obscure the true risk.
"Of the 827 women, 700 got their vaccination or the injection in the third trimester, 127 got them in trimester one and two, which is where the 104 miscarriages occur," Johnson explained. "So the proper percentage is 104 divided by 127, an 82% miscarriage rate with women who got the injection in the first second trimester. I mean, that is shocking, and they knew it. They knew it, they're not that stupid. They're just that devious to play with the statistics that way to misinform, to lie to the American public."
Johnson’s investigation is still in its nascent stages, with a careful approach to avoid revealing personal information. His primary objective remains uncovering more communications where Fauci privately acknowledged risks while publicly promoting a different narrative.
"This is going to take time, but when my staff saw this, I mean, to me, this immediately impacts public safety, immediately impacts informed consent," Johnson stated. "And so I had to get this one out there right away. But there are, I'm sure, way more to come."
"I think this is the tip of the iceberg," he concluded, underscoring the profound questions about accountability and transparency that continue to plague America's COVID-19 response.
