Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman intensified his criticism of embattled Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner on Wednesday, openly challenging the progressive Democrat to release messages connected to a controversial Kik account that has become a major issue in his campaign.
During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Fetterman took aim at Platner's past criticism of his appearance while highlighting allegations surrounding the candidate's online activity.
“This is a guy that had a problem with me, how I dress, but he seemed to have no problem posing in a towel at a disgusting website that consistently had serious problems about that kinds of depravity,” Fetterman said.
The Pennsylvania Democrat then proposed a highly public challenge directed at Platner.
“Let me make a deal. I'll tell P-Hustle, I'll wear a suit every day, if he releases all those texts and messages that he's had... [with] the dozen women,” Fetterman said, referring to the username allegedly associated with Platner's account.

Fetterman argued that if Platner has nothing to hide, he should make the communications public and answer questions regarding the individuals involved in those conversations.
“You can prove [to] America... what's [in] these conversations. Can P-Hustle prove how old these people are?” he asked.
The remarks add to growing scrutiny surrounding Platner's campaign, which has faced a series of controversies in recent weeks. According to reports, Platner's campaign previously acknowledged that the Kik account in question belonged to him, stating that while he deleted the application from his phone, he did not deactivate the account itself.
Fetterman also criticized several other controversies linked to Platner, including controversial Reddit posts, comments regarding American military figures, a video discussing late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, and a Nazi Totenkopf tattoo that was later covered up.
“As a Democrat, I'm never going to carry water for a guy that calls an American hero a dumb MFer, or someone that smears Chris Kyle... and claimed that he's shooting innocent civilians,” Fetterman said.
“He has [said] so many offensive things that it's hard to keep up with it.”
The comments underscore an increasingly visible divide within Democratic ranks. While Fetterman has repeatedly distanced himself from Platner and questioned whether Democrats should support his candidacy, several prominent Democrats have continued to back him.
Among those who have defended or endorsed Platner are Sen. Bernie Sanders, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, all of whom have supported his effort to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins.
The growing controversy has transformed what was expected to be a routine Senate race into one of the most closely watched political battles in the country. As questions continue to mount, even members of Platner's own party are now publicly demanding answers. When fellow Democrats start sounding like opposition researchers, it's usually a sign that a campaign is facing serious turbulence.
With the election approaching, voters will ultimately decide whether the ongoing controversies overshadow Platner's candidacy or whether Democratic support remains strong enough to carry him forward.
