Israel Def Minister Katz delivers blunt warning to Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made it crystal clear on Monday that Israel will not sit idle if Iran launches missiles at its territory. "It could happen within two days," he warned, while confirming that the IDF has been directed to prepare for a direct "blue-and-white operation" inside Iran.

Katz outlined two main paths to renewed conflict: one where President Donald Trump concludes that negotiations with Iran have run their course and decides to resume strikes, and another if Iran chooses to attack first. "If Iran attacks us, that is the third Iran war," he stated. "There is no reality in which Israel will allow missile fire at its territory without responding with force."

When asked about Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Katz was unequivocal: he is "marked for death."

This hardline stance underscores Israel's determination to protect itself against a regime that has long threatened its existence. It aligns with a realist view that has gained traction in conservative circles — that diplomatic talks must be backed by overwhelming strength and the willingness to act decisively, rather than wishful agreements that embolden adversaries.

Trump's pressure-first approach has repeatedly shifted dynamics in the region, contrasting with past policies that often left allies exposed.Katz's comments leave little room for ambiguity: Israel is ready, watching closely, and prepared to respond if Tehran miscalculates.
