Oh, Come On! Clinton-Appointed Judge Tries to Block Trump’s Wind Project Order

Here we go again: another day, another federal judge deciding they know better than the elected President of the United States. This time it’s a Bill Clinton–appointed judge swooping in on Monday to declare that President Trump supposedly didn’t “justify” his decision to put the brakes on the wind-project frenzy taking over the country.

At this point, it’s practically a sunrise tradition—judge wakes up, coffee brews, and the Trump agenda gets kneecapped. Business as usual.

Honestly, sometimes I wish the president could just say what everyone’s thinking: “I got 77 million votes, you didn’t. That’s my justification.” But no, he has to play by the rules while the other side plays by “feelings.”

According to Judge Patti Saris in Boston, the administration didn’t sufficiently explain why agencies paused all federal approvals for new offshore wind projects. She sided with 17 Democrat-led states and Washington, D.C.—shock of the century—claiming agencies didn’t provide a “reasoned explanation” when they suspended issuing leases and permits.

Let’s be real: on Day One, Trump issued an executive order titled “Temporary Withdrawal of All Areas on the Outer Continental Shelf from Offshore Wind Leasing and Review of the Federal Government’s Leasing and Permitting Practices for Wind Projects.” Yes, the title is long enough to be its own novella, but the message is simple—he’s not interested in wasting billions on ineffective, costly, and environmentally harmful wind projects. (I know, controversial to say facts out loud.)

But apparently Judge Saris thinks she’s the one steering national energy policy now. She argued that stopping permits “constitutes a change of course” from what agencies have traditionally done. And because agencies admitted they paused approvals simply because the president directed them to, she says that isn’t good enough.

You really know something’s off when Letitia James pops up cheering about the ruling like she just won the lottery, calling it a “big victory” for fighting the so-called climate crisis. If Letitia James is happy, America should probably duck.

As RedState has already pointed out, wind projects aren’t the magical, planet-saving devices the Left keeps promising. In fact, they’re actively harming the environment the loudest activists claim to worship.

We don’t yet know if the Trump administration will appeal the ruling, but something tells me they’re not about to just roll over. Wind energy isn’t the futuristic savior it’s marketed as, and President Trump is absolutely right to call out the emperor with no clothes.

And at the end of the day, the good news is simple: Trump isn’t afraid to confront bad ideas head-on—wind turbines and activist judges alike. The fight continues, and the future looks bright.
