California state Sen. Scott Wiener (D), a prominent LGBTQ activist and Jewish gay man, was shouted down and chased away from San Francisco’s Trans March by fellow leftists — all because of his support for Israel.
Video posted to X shows Wiener walking through the crowd as participants screamed obscenities and accusations at him. “You stopped being queer the moment you started supporting Israel, you piece of sh*t!” one marcher yelled. Other leftists in masks surrounded the senator, calling him a “genocidal piece of sh*t” and chanting, “We f*cking hate you!”
The person filming the video initially praised Wiener’s work on LGBTQ legislation before turning on him over Gaza, saying: “It sucks because you’ve been wonderful for trans people, and you’ve been terrible on Gaza!”
The irony is thick.
Wiener, who has long championed radical gender ideology and progressive causes, found himself on the receiving end of the very intolerance the left often claims to oppose — this time from within his own coalition. His relatively moderate stance on Israel apparently made him “center right” in the eyes of the more extreme elements at the march.
Former MTV reality star Spencer Pratt, who has clashed with Wiener in the past, summed it up on X: “Hey, Wiener guy! Remember when you called me a ‘McBigot’? How does it feel now that the Frankenstein you created is coming for you? Every stupid communist learns this history lesson the hard way. Enjoy!”
The episode highlights the growing fractures within the modern progressive movement. Even as activists demand absolute loyalty on every issue, they are increasingly turning on their own when ideological purity tests are not met.
Wiener’s experience at the Trans March serves as a vivid example of how the radical left eventually devours its own.
