This Sunday, Republican Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) called on the Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to go after real criminals instead of 45th President Donald J Trump.
“[Manhattan D.A.] should focus on the violent criminals terrorizing New York instead of pursuing politically motivated charges against [Donald Trump]. Even the [New York Times] called it a ‘risky legal theory,’” Daines tweeted.

Daines was quoting a New York Times article, which stated, “The case against the former president hinges on an untested and therefore risky legal theory involving a complex interplay of laws, all amounting to a low-level felony. If Mr. Trump were ultimately convicted, he would face a maximum sentence of four years, though prison time would not be mandatory.”
They continued, writing, “Combining the criminal charge with a violation of state election law would be a novel legal theory for any criminal case, let alone one against the former president, raising the possibility that a judge or appellate court could throw it out or reduce the felony charge to a misdemeanor.”
Daines is not the only Republican supporting Donald Trump, as radical leftist Alvin Bragg continues his baseless prosecution.
“Alvin Bragg is abusing his office to target President Trump while he’s reduced a majority of felonies, including violent crimes, to misdemeanors. He has different rules for political opponents,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) tweeted Saturday. “Republicans stopped the radical DC crime law, and we will investigate any use of federal funds that are used to facilitate the perversion of justice by Soros-backed DA’s across the country.”

“The Manhattan DA refuses to prosecute violent criminals terrorizing citizens on the streets and instead wastes taxpayer money on a political vendetta against President Trump,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) added. “No wonder hundreds of thousands escaped from New York!”

Scalise is right — lawless liberal agendas like the one pursued by Bragg and his cronies are not popular in the slightest. The American people and the people of New York deserve better from their leaders. What Bragg is doing to Donald Trump is an indefensible misuse of power, but one consistent with his lawless liberal and authoritarian outlook on politics.
