Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, the progressive prosecutor long bankrolled by George Soros’s network, decided this week that the city’s sky-high violent crime wasn’t worth his full attention. Instead, he stood before a crowd and openly daydreamed about demolishing President Trump’s new White House ballroom—then keeping a piece of the rubble as a personal paperweight.
“In about 10 to 15 years, we are all going to be sitting here with smiles on our faces,” Krasner declared. “And I’m going to have a paperweight sitting on my desk. And do you know what that paperweight’s going to be? It’s going to be a piece of the ballroom after we blow it up.”
After a brief pause—long enough for the political equivalent of buyer’s remorse to kick in—he scrambled to dress it up: “In an official—official ceremony, just so we’re clear. In an official ceremony, we’re going to blow it up, and we’re going to get the taxpayers their money back by selling all the pieces as paperweights. And I will have one on my desk.”
Never mind that internal administration documents confirm the ballroom is privately funded. Taxpayers aren’t footing the bill. Details have never slowed Krasner down.
The same NBC-10 Philadelphia report that captured the ballroom fantasy also recorded Krasner branding President Trump a “pain in the ass” and “the embodiment of hate, the embodiment of ignorance and the embodiment of depriving people of their vote and education.” Classic Trump Derangement Syndrome, now wearing a district attorney’s badge.
This is the same Larry Krasner who previously labeled ICE agents enforcing the law against criminal illegal aliens as “a small bunch of wannabe Nazis” and vowed, “If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will find your identities and we will find you.” He later escalated further, promising to arrest federal agents operating in Philadelphia and declaring the president could not pardon them.
While Philly streets remain among the most dangerous in any major American city, the top prosecutor is busy plotting ceremonial demolitions and collecting imaginary souvenirs. Soft on predators, hard on the president, and obsessed with a ballroom most of his constituents will never see.
