Trump Celebrates Paxton Victory, Unloads Savage New Nickname on Democrat James Talarico

President Donald Trump is once again proving nobody delivers political nicknames quite like he does.

After Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton scored a massive Republican primary victory over longtime Senator John Cornyn, Trump celebrated the win while also introducing a brutal new nickname for Democrat James Talarico — and once you see the comparison, it’s difficult to ignore.

Paxton defeated Cornyn by a stunning 27-point margin, ending the political career of a senator who held the seat for more than two decades. Trump had endorsed Paxton in the race, giving the Texas attorney general a major boost among conservative voters who increasingly viewed Cornyn as disconnected from the MAGA movement and grassroots Republicans.

The result marked yet another example of Trump-backed candidates dominating key Republican contests across the country, especially in deeply conservative states where the America First agenda continues driving the GOP base.

Following the victory, Paxton reaffirmed his support for Trump’s SAVE America Act, one of the administration’s top election integrity priorities aimed at strengthening voter security and tightening election procedures nationwide.

Trump praised both Paxton and Cornyn after the race, but the real attention quickly shifted to what came next: Trump unveiling a new jab aimed at Paxton’s Democratic opponent, James Talarico.

The president compared Talarico to Alfred E. Neuman, the famously goofy, gap-toothed mascot from Mad Magazine. And unfortunately for Democrats, once the comparison entered the internet bloodstream, social media immediately did what social media always does.

Political nicknames have long been one of Trump’s signature weapons, and whether critics love them or hate them, they almost always stick. From “Sleepy Joe” to “Crooked Hillary,” Trump has repeatedly shown an almost supernatural ability to brand opponents in ways that dominate headlines for days.

Trump also took the opportunity to bid farewell to Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who lost to Talarico in the Democratic primary. Crockett had become one of the louder progressive voices in Texas politics, frequently drawing attention for confrontational rhetoric and viral cable news appearances.

Meanwhile, Democrats continue trying to convince voters that every Republican election is somehow “the end of democracy” while simultaneously losing major races in states like Texas. Apparently the “existential threat” messaging doesn’t hit quite as hard when voters are more worried about inflation, border security, and whether their city still functions properly.

For conservatives, Paxton’s landslide victory reinforced the growing strength of Trump-aligned candidates heading into the next election cycle. Texas Republicans appear increasingly unified around election security, border enforcement, and America First priorities — exactly the issues driving Republican momentum nationwide.

And thanks to Trump’s latest nickname, James Talarico may now have another challenge on his hands: trying to campaign without voters thinking about Mad Magazine every time they see him on television.
