Former President Donald Trump told his supporters during a rally on Saturday that he will continue his fight against the politically-motivated persecution aimed at him.
“The radical left Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail to stop me because they know I will never be loyal to them because I will only be loyal to you and to our country,” Trump said during a “Save America” rally in Youngstown, Ohio.
The former president was at the rally to stump for GOP candidates in local races, including J.D. Vance who is facing Democrat nominee Tim Ryan for the state’s senate election.
“For six straight years, I’ve been harassed, investigated, defamed, slandered, and persecuted like no other president—and probably like no one in American history,” Trump continued. “Yet all I have ever wanted and all we’ve ever fought for is to simply, very simply, Make America Great Again.”
“Make America Great Again,” or MAGA, is Trump’s slogan in his successful 2016 presidential campaign. Last month, President Joe Biden accused “MAGA Republicans” as extremists during a speech in Philadelphia.
“No matter what our sick and deranged political establishment throws at me, no matter what they do to me, I will endure their torment and oppression, and I will do it very willingly,” Trump said.
“They will never get me to stop fighting for you, the American people,” Trump continued. “And I will never quit because the fate of our country is at stake.”
The former president reiterated his previous criticism of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), saying that the FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago residence last month was the result of the “unprecedented weaponization” of the agency.

FBI agents at Mar-a-Lago seized 11,179 materials that were not marked classified, according to an inventory released in early September. Additionally, the agents took 103 documents marked classified, including some marked top secret.
On Sept. 15, Florida-based U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon appointed retired Judge Raymond Dearie as special master to independently review the seized materials. One of Dearie’s tasks is to determine whether any documents are privileged and should be off-limits to federal investigators.
Cannon also rejected a DOJ request to allow investigators to continue its criminal investigation into the seized documents. However, a day later, the DOJ filed a motion asking an appeals court to issue a partial stay on Cannon’s order.
Trump said those attacking the MAGA movement, whom he labeled as “thugs and tyrants,” have awakened a “sleeping giant.”
“The American people will never accept the corruption and the ruination of our beloved country,” Trump said. “On November 8, we’re going to vote in record numbers and we are going to send these left-wing lunatics a message they cannot cancel, silence, or ignore.”
“We need a landslide so big that the radical left cannot steal it or rig it,” Trump continued.
As for the upcoming midterm elections, Trump predicted the Republicans will take back both the House and Senate.
“And in 2024, most importantly, we are going to take back our magnificent White House,” he said.
