President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran on Wednesday following an overnight surprise ballistic missile attack by Iranian forces on U.S. troops stationed in Jordan.

In a profanity-laced interview with Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, Trump promised a forceful American response. 

"We're going to beat the f---ing s--- out of them," Trump said. "We'll be hitting them hard. They're going to get a beating."

The attack targeted the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and the headquarters of U.S. Central Command in Jordan, according to a statement from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried by state media. Jordan’s military confirmed that five Iranian missiles were intercepted and destroyed. U.S. Central Command reported that all incoming missiles were successfully shot down, with no immediate reports of American casualties or significant damage.

Trump noted that U.S. forces had only minutes to react. He reviewed video footage showing American personnel calling out coordinates in real time to intercept the incoming threats.

In a related development, the U.S. military, alongside Saudi fighter aircraft, struck multiple Iran-backed Shiite militia logistics and weapons sites in eastern Iraq. Trump said the strikes were coordinated with the Iraqi government. The Saudi Defense Ministry stated it does not seek escalation but will respond to any aggression.

The President described the Iran-backed militias as a "cancer on the world" and indicated that additional measures against Iranian proxies remain under consideration.

Despite the flare-up, Trump signaled that diplomatic talks with Iran would continue , but U.S. officials are monitoring the situation closely as they prepare their response.
