UFO TRUTH WAR: GOP Lawmaker Demands American Leadership on Disclosure, Warns of Propaganda Victory for China, Russia

Forget traditional arms races. The next geopolitical battleground might just be over who unveils the truth about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) first, and a conservative voice in Congress is sounding the alarm.

Republican Rep. Eric Burlison of Missouri is underscoring the critical need for American leadership on UFO transparency, warning that if the promises of disclosure championed by the Trump administration are not fully realized, the nation risks ceding a massive propaganda victory to rivals.

“I think it would definitely be a misstep because of what we would be demonstrating to our people,” Burlison told The Post, highlighting the foundational American value of openness.

“We’re supposed to be the most transparent country in the world to its citizenry and if another country is able to be more transparent than the United States on this topic it would be a blemish on our otherwise pristine legacy on transparency.”

The global race for truth extends beyond the usual suspects. Even Brazil could join the push to reveal what governments know about UFOs. Former Brazilian presidential candidate and defense minister Aldo Rebelo has publicly stated that Brazil would release its own files if the U.S. made public its records on the alleged 1996 UFO crash in Varginha. This international call for transparency further isolates any nation clinging to secrecy.

Burlison suggested that such global disclosure could serve a crucial purpose: corroborating information the U.S. has already released, thereby strengthening public trust.

“If a foreign country validates what we release, it will give more confidence to the American people that this isn’t some disinformation campaign or a hoax and I think that would be a good thing,” Burlison said, emphasizing the need for robust, verifiable truth.

“I’d suggest that if he has access to it and wants to bring it to me, I will be happy to work with to release that information,” Burlison added, extending an open invitation for genuine disclosure.

The stakes are particularly high given alarming claims about rival powers’ alleged UFO recoveries.

Whistleblower David Grusch, who previously worked as a staffer for Burlison, recently dropped a bombshell on the Joe Rogan podcast: both Russia and China are reportedly in possession of crashed UFOs. This revelation underscores a critical national security imperative for America to lead, not lag, in understanding and disclosing these phenomena.

China has already publicly acknowledged investigating UFO sightings and is reportedly using advanced AI to enhance their understanding of these mysterious occurrences, according to a 2021 report by the South China Morning Post. Meanwhile, investigative reporter George Knapp released a trove of documents on Russia in February, revealing that the Soviets secretly investigated thousands of UFO reports while publicly denying their existence. The hypocrisy is palpable, and the implications for intelligence gathering are stark.

In a world where America’s adversaries are actively pursuing and potentially weaponizing the truth about UAPs, the imperative for U.S. leadership on transparency is not merely a matter of curiosity—it’s a question of national credibility and security. The America First movement champions truth, accountability, and the protection of American interests. Ceding the narrative on such a profound mystery to China or Russia would be a profound strategic misstep, undermining public trust and sacrificing American exceptionalism in the pursuit of knowledge. It is time for America to unequivocally lead in unveiling the truth, securing its legacy as the most transparent nation on Earth.
