Angel Families Thank President Trump in Powerful Thanksgiving Video: “We Appreciate You”

In a moment that cuts through all the political noise, The American Border Story (TABS) has released a heartfelt Thanksgiving video featuring Angel Families — Americans who have lost loved ones due to crimes tied to the border crisis — offering emotional messages of gratitude to President Trump. And yes, it turns out real Americans still appreciate strong leadership, even if Washington, D.C. often pretends otherwise.

The 11-minute video, released Nov. 22 and featuring country artist Alexis Wilkins, showcases more than a dozen families thanking President Trump and his administration for their unwavering commitment to border security. For people who have lived the consequences of open-border policies firsthand, the message is simple: leadership matters.

Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed by a drunk driver who was in the country illegally, thanked President Trump for prioritizing security and “keeping our community safe.”

“We hope you continue the dedication towards that,” Abraham said. “We really don’t want any other families to have to suffer the pain and despair that we’re going through right now. So keep it up, and we appreciate you. Happy Thanksgiving.” Sometimes the clearest truths come from those who have suffered the most.

Anne Fundner, who lost her 15-year-old son Weston to fentanyl poisoning, called President Trump “the greatest president America has ever had.” She thanked him for honoring her son’s name and for working “tirelessly, nonstop to protect Americans and keep our country safe.” She added, “I thank God for you every single day.” Not exactly the kind of review the mainstream media likes to highlight — but it’s the one that matters.

Agnes Gibboney, whose son Ronald Da Silva was murdered by an illegal immigrant in 2002, thanked President Trump for his “courage, strength, determination, and love for our country,” as well as for deporting criminal illegal aliens and keeping Americans safe. A straightforward message — something Washington bureaucrats should probably take notes on.

Debbie Santini, who lost her son Jesse Byrd to fentanyl poisoning in 2022, thanked President Trump for “everything you’ve done and continue to do for families like mine.” That kind of gratitude doesn’t come from political talking points — it comes from lived experience.

Other families offering messages of thanks included:
Kim Novak, Jacqueline Long, Greg Crews, Lupe Morfin, Angie Morfin, Jane Gray, Laura Wilkerson, Chris Odette, April Babcock, Kathy Hall, Jody Jones, Donald DeQuardo, Wanda DeQuardo, Marie Vega, Javier Vega, Rebecca Elmaksoud, Anatoly Varfolomeev, Uloma Anyanwu, Mary Ann Mendoza, and Tena Pruitt.
A long list — and a sobering reminder of just how many lives have been impacted.

Closing the video, Wilkins thanked the Trump administration for “the leaps and bounds made in infrastructure, in legislation, and in justice for these families and everything that they have been through.”

In a season meant for gratitude, the message couldn’t be clearer: strong borders save lives — and real families haven’t forgotten who fought for them.
