Trump to Nation After Terrorist Attack on NG in D.C.: Afghans Who Came In Under Biden Must Be Re-Vetted

On Thanksgiving Eve, President Donald Trump delivered a brief but forceful national address following the horrific terrorist ambush that left two West Virginia National Guard members fighting for their lives just steps from the White House.

The president’s remarks were somber, direct, and loaded with new information — including the confirmation that the attacker came into the U.S. through Joe Biden’s disastrously loose Afghan resettlement program.

Trump opened the address with a steady, solemn tone:

“My great fellow Americans. Earlier today, on the eve of the Thanksgiving holiday, two members of the National Guard serving in Washington, D.C. were shot at point-blank range in a monstrous, ambush-style attack just steps away from the White House.”

The president noted the troops were part of the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force, a mission he hailed as “the most successful public safety and national security operation in the history of our nation’s Capitol.”

A Terrorist Attack on the Nation — Not Just the Military

Trump made clear this was not just another isolated crime in America’s capital — it was a deliberate act of terror.

“This heinous assault was an act of evil, an act of hatred, and an act of terror. It was a crime against our entire nation. A crime against humanity.”

He added that the thoughts and prayers of the entire nation were with the wounded Guardsmen and their families.

Trump Confirms: The Suspect Came From Biden’s Afghan Airlift

The president then dropped the detail many had been waiting for: the suspect was brought into the U.S. specifically because of Joe Biden’s 2021 Afghanistan debacle.

“The Department of Homeland Security is confident that the suspect in custody is a foreigner from Afghanistan — a hellhole on earth — flown in by the Biden administration in September 2021 on those infamous flights. Nobody knew who was coming in.”

Trump didn’t hold back, blasting Biden’s immigration policies as reckless and dangerous:

“His status was extended under legislation signed by President Biden. A disastrous president — the worst in the history of our country.”

Trump: Biden Let in Millions of ‘Unknown, Unvetted Foreigners’

The president highlighted what he called the single greatest threat to America’s security: Biden’s mass admission of migrants with little to no vetting.

He cited the worsening situation in Minnesota as a prime example:

“Hundreds of thousands of Somalians are ripping off our country and ripping apart that once great state. Billions lost. Gangs from a country with no laws, no water, no military — nothing.”

Trump’s message was simple: this is what happens when a nation stops controlling who enters it.

Trump Orders Re-Examination of Afghan Arrivals, Removal of Dangerous Aliens

The president vowed to take sweeping action in response to the attack:

“We must now re-examine every single alien who entered from Afghanistan under Biden. And we must remove any alien from any country who does not belong here or add benefit to our country. If they can’t love our country, we don’t want them.”

He affirmed that the attacker would face “the steepest possible price.”

500 Additional Troops Deployed to D.C.

Trump then confirmed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s earlier statement: 500 more troops are being deployed to secure the capital.

“I have directed the Department of War to mobilize an additional 500 troops to help protect our Capitol city.”

He added a pointed remark about the suspect’s fate:

“We will bring the perpetrator to swift and certain justice — if the bullets going in the opposite direction haven’t already done that.”

Honoring the Wounded Heroes

To close, Trump honored the two Guardsmen who were shot while protecting the nation at a time when most Americans were preparing to sit down with family.

“These two Patriots were wearing the uniform of our country, patrolling the streets of our Capitol… exactly what they were doing when they were gunned down in a savage attack.”

He thanked the military, Secret Service, and D.C. Metropolitan Police for their immediate response, and called on every family gathering for Thanksgiving to pray for the wounded soldiers.

The president ended his address:

“May God bless them, and comfort them, and may God bless and protect the United States of America.”
