Former Congressman Pete King argued that the controversy surrounding Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner's reported sexting scandal pales in comparison to other issues that have emerged during the campaign.
Speaking on Newsmax's "Wake Up America Weekend," the longtime New York Republican said voters should focus on what he described as a broader pattern of conduct rather than the allegations involving sexual text messages.
"Let me just say, I think this whole thing about the sexual texting is the least of his problems," King stated during the interview.
King specifically pointed to controversy surrounding Platner's acknowledgment that he had covered up a tattoo associated with Nazi imagery, an issue that has attracted increased attention during the Senate race.
"This man is a disgrace for a person who carried a Nazi tattoo on his chest for 20 years, was proud of it," King said.
