In an unexpected validation of America First foreign policy, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, a past political rival, delivered high praise for President Donald Trump’s decisive strategy in crippling the Iranian regime. Yet, this commendation arrived with a stark warning: reports indicate hundreds of Iranian explosive drones are now positioned perilously close to the United States, in Cuba.
Bush, who chairs United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), made these revelations at a Wednesday event, standing beside a recovered Iranian Shahed-136 drone. These inexpensive, yet deadly, kamikaze weapons have been extensively deployed by Tehran across the Middle East and supplied to Russia for use in Ukraine, showcasing their destructive potential.
"We have decimated Iran's capability to make mischief in the region. There's no doubt about it," Bush declared, applauding the Trump administration's impactful work that dramatically curbed Iranian aggression and safeguarded American interests.
However, the gravity of the new threat quickly overshadowed the past triumph. "I also want to point out that the press reports are that there are 300 of these in Cuba," Bush added, gesturing toward the ominous drone.

Joining Bush at the event was Representative Carlos Gimenez, a Florida Republican, who underscored the chilling reality. He branded Shahed drones as "terror weapons" and painted a grim picture of their role in modern conflict: "This is the face of warfare... This is how war is going to be carried out in the future, and it's being carried out right now."

Gimenez highlighted the brutal effectiveness of these drones in the conflict in Ukraine, where their widespread use has transformed battlefields.
Mark Wallace, CEO of UANI and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., amplified the warning, calling the Shahed drone "the ubiquitous terror weapon of mass destruction in modern warfare." Wallace detailed the drone's deadly track record: "This drone has struck our allies across the region, killed American troops, our allies across the region ... and has been raining terror across the Middle East at our bases and the like."
Wallace clarified that these Iranian drones were transferred to Cuba years ago, preceding the current heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran. This revelation underscores a long-standing threat, a sleeper cell of destruction now brought to light. The presence of these terror weapons so close to American shores is a stark reminder of the persistent dangers posed by hostile regimes and the absolute necessity of maintaining an unwavering America First posture to protect the homeland and our vital interests.
