President Trump unleashed a blistering critique Tuesday morning, taking aim directly at the Supreme Court's recent decision on mail-in ballots and, significantly, at his own appointees to the bench. The High Court's move to block crucial new U.S. Postal Service (USPS) rules from taking effect before the midterm elections has ignited a furious response from the America First leader, who sees the ruling as a catastrophic blow to election integrity.
The controversy stems from a Monday night ruling where the Supreme Court denied an emergency request from the administration to stay a lower court injunction. This injunction, originally issued by an Obama-appointed judge, effectively halts the implementation of essential USPS regulations designed to safeguard mail-in ballots. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, consistent defenders of constitutional principles, were the lone dissenters.
However, it was the votes of President Trump's three conservative appointees—Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett—that drew his sharpest ire. Justice Kavanaugh even penned a separate concurrence, attempting to justify the decision by claiming there simply wasn't enough time to implement the new rules ahead of the election. This reasoning, for many America First patriots, rings hollow, given the critical importance of secure elections and the Court's notoriously slow pace.
In a lengthy and direct Truth Social post, President Trump pulled no punches, calling mail-in voting a "totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting 'disaster.'" He warned that the Court's ruling would only make it "much easier" for the "Radical Left 'Dumocrats'" to engage in widespread cheating, a cynical tactic they routinely employ. For Trump, this isn't merely about procedural delays; it's about the very foundation of American democracy.
President Trump did not name the Justices he referred to specifically, but his message was unmistakable. "The Supreme Court has really let our Country down!" he declared, directly challenging what he perceives as a profound lack of courage among certain members of the bench. He argued they are "petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats," failing to "show the courage necessary to save our America." This is a grave accusation, but one that resonates with millions who feel the judiciary has drifted from its constitutional moorings, bending to political pressure rather than adhering to principle.
The former President then delivered perhaps his most stinging rebuke of his own judicial selections. "These are not the people I interviewed to serve on the United States Supreme Court," he stated, adding, "they are merely a shell of their original selves." This isn't just a criticism; it's a stark warning about how easily even carefully chosen conservatives can apparently succumb to the pressures of the Washington establishment and the swamp mentality.
He continued his comprehensive critique, pointing to a pattern of rulings he views as deeply detrimental to the nation:
Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting "disaster," which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM. Justices Alito and Thomas, legends both, strongly disagreed with this horrible, highly political, ruling. It is a big loss for Republicans, and America itself, and makes cheating by the Radical Left "Dumocrats," on Mail-In Ballots, a much easier thing to do - And now they have an open field to do so! The Supreme Court has really let our Country down! Certain Justices are petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats, and are totally unable to show the courage necessary to save our America. Their horrible decision on Tariffs will be costing the U.S.A., for many years to come, Trillions and Trillions of Dollars. They didn’t even state, "money paid does not have to be paid back," much to the benefit of entities that truly hate our Country, and have been RIPPING IT OFF FOR YEARS, unnecessarily costing us, immediately, Billions of Dollars. Likewise, the Supreme Court’s Decision on Birthright Citizenship is a complete and total disaster for America, and has already led to massive corruption with respect to "citizenship" in our Country. The damage done to America is incalculable, and they know this, just as everyone else does - It is an irreparable and unrecoverable harm! The Court’s inability and unwillingness to do the right thing for our Country will go down, in a very negative way, in the annals of History. This Supreme Court is bullied and cajoled by the Radical Left into making decisions that have set America back at least a hundred years. These are not the people I interviewed to serve on the United States Supreme Court, they are merely a shell of their original selves, a Court that is costing the United States Trillions of Dollars with shockingly bad rulings that are of such magnitude that it won’t be easily possible for our Country to recover or heal. It is a Court that will go down as having rendered some of the most destructive, hurtful, and damaging decisions in our Country’s history. It is not easy for me to write this criticism of the United States Supreme Court - it will likely cost me dearly for years to come - but I feel it my obligation and duty, as President, to do so for the America we love! Thank you for your attention to this very important matter. God bless the U.S.A. President DONALD J. TRUMP
It's important to understand that this Supreme Court decision, while a severe setback for election integrity in the upcoming midterms, does not permanently seal the fate of the USPS rule. The lower court's preliminary injunction applies only to elections taking place on or before November 3, 2026. The underlying legal battles surrounding the USPS rule continue to wind their way through the court system, meaning the fight for secure elections is far from over.
This clash between a populist President and a judiciary he sought to shape underscores a critical truth: the battle for America's future extends far beyond the ballot box. It's a fight for courage, for common sense, and for the foundational American values that too often seem to be eroded by establishment institutions. President Trump's unwavering demand for accountability and election integrity remains a beacon for patriots determined to reclaim the promise of our Republic and secure truly free and fair elections.
