President Donald Trump made it clear Sunday night that he isn’t walking back anything he said about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz — not one inch — but he is more than happy to release the results of his MRI from October, the same MRI Walz has been loudly demanding like it’s the key to national security.
“If you want to have it released, I’ll release it,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he traveled back to Washington from Florida. According to White House audio released on X, the president added that his MRI results were absolutely “perfect.” Honestly, at this point “perfect” is becoming a recurring theme with Trump — and it drives his critics insane.
The White House, of course, didn’t specify why the MRI was done or what part of Trump’s body it examined. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president underwent “advanced imaging” at Walter Reed as part of his routine physical and that the results showed Trump remains in “exceptional physical health.” In other words: he’s fine, he’s sharp, and he’s stronger than ever — which is probably the real reason Democrats suddenly care so much about paperwork.
Trump even joked Sunday that he has “no idea” what part of his body the MRI was for. “It was just an MRI,” he said. “What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it, which you would be incapable of doing.” A classic Trump line — sharp, direct, and guaranteed to make Walz and friends clutch their pearls.
He even compared the situation to his “perfect” phone call that led to his first impeachment. And if history is any indication, any time Donald Trump uses the word “perfect,” Democrats start sweating.
This comes after Trump spent days hammering Walz, who has been escalating his questions about Trump’s health and transparency. Instead of backing down, Trump doubled down — a reminder that he doesn’t take orders from political opponents who are trying to score points.
Trump remains confident, unapologetic, and unbothered — exactly the kind of leadership energy that keeps his supporters energized and his critics scrambling. And that, no doubt, is a perfect way to start the week.
