Vice President JD Vance issued a firm warning to Iran on Friday, stating that further attacks will be met with force following targeted U.S. strikes on Iranian missile and drone storage sites along the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran signed a ceasefire agreement. We have honored it,” Vance wrote on X while reposting a CENTCOM statement announcing the strikes. “If they have disagreements about how the MOU is being applied, they can pick up the phone,” he added. “But violence will be met with violence.”
The comments followed U.S. Central Command’s confirmation that American forces struck Iranian missile and drone storage facilities as well as coastal radar installations in direct response to Tehran’s attack on a commercial vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The Trump administration continues to demonstrate that it will not tolerate Iranian aggression or violations of the ceasefire agreement. With the 60-day negotiation window still in effect, the message from the White House is clear: America is committed to diplomacy when possible, but it will respond decisively when the regime chooses violence over good faith.
This latest exchange underscores the importance of maintaining strength and credibility when dealing with a regime that has a long history of testing boundaries and breaking deals.
The U.S. remains ready to enforce the terms it helped establish.
